About the 3D map
Deadlock's whole map in your browser, built from the game's own files: every street, building and prop, with the game's objects on it, for the current build and the ones before.
What you can do
- Look around. From above or from an angle, near or far; the map loads what the camera faces first.
- See the game's objects. Crates, camps, the Sinner's Sacrifice machines, bosses, jump pads and ziplines in their lane's colour. Hover one to see what it is.
- Layers. Show or hide each kind of material, or show one alone.
- See the collision. The walls, floors and invisible edges players walk on and bump into, as the map file has them, over the map.
- Cut the top off. Look inside buildings and under ceilings.
- Compare updates. Pick two builds and see what changed, with the changes outlined. Every change is also explained in the changelog.
How it's made
The map comes straight out of the game's map file for each build: its geometry, materials and the objects the game places on it. A machine checks Steam for new builds every minute and adds each new map when it comes out. The newest map updates and about one build a month stay here to look at.
